The two year old’s day is full of developmental exploration at the Charlotte Jewish Preschool. Socially, our two's begin working and playing with teachers and other children. They begin to listen and learn in both individual and group settings. The two's learn the basics of colors, shapes, counting and Jewish Brachot during circle time.
This is a time when the children are beginning to learn self-help skills such as washing hands, dressing and cleaning up. Each day, the children are greeted with engaging centers to develop fine motor skills. Blocks, puzzles, playdough and art projects are just a few ways our teachers strengthen these skills.
Our playground and gross motor room offer a daily outing for the two's to develop their gross motor skills. Running, climbing, jumping may appears to be simple fun, but, as teachers, we know we are building their large muscle groups.
