Our four's program will prepare your child for Pre-K or kindergarten.
The Charlotte Jewish Preschool's four's program encourages your child’s natural curiosity and desire to learn about their world. The classrooms feature engaging centers, in which children cooperatively play. Through play, our four's develop social, language and fine motor skills.
Our developmental approach creates an explosion of creativity in the classroom that enchances their growth in math, science, art, literacy and Judaism. Math concepts are reinforced through discovering patterns during calendar time. Burying our lunch garbage to see what will decompose is a fun approach to science. Creating stories around artwork is one of many paths our teachers use to develop early literacy skills. Showing the children how to make water separate combines science, Judaism and literacy, and is an excellent example of how our developmental approach touches on all important areas of learning.
The four's continue to learn while participating in special activities including gym, library, Judaica and music.
Each week, our four's enjoy physical education classes at the Levine Jewish Community Center. Goals include promoting teamwork; following instructions; improving strength, flexibility and coordination; promoting joy, movement and exercise; and improving self-esteem, confidence and motor control.
