NEW NEWS THIS WEEK
- This month our preschoolers are studying "ba'alei chayim," caring for animals. For our tzedakah project we are running a drive for Spay Neuter Charlotte, a clinic that provides low-cost sterilization and animal wellness services. The clinic is in need of the following items: old blankets & towels, wipes, cleaning supplies, paper towels, rice, pillowcases, baby wipes, paper supplies (such as copy paper, catalog envelopes, pens, tape), AA batteries, cat food & litter, hand sanitizer and soap, dishwashing liquid, detergent, dryer sheets, sharpies, poster board. We'll be running the drive through Friday, February 3. Thank you for your help and support.
- Camp Mindy/Camp Katan registration is now going on for LJCC members. Non-member registration begins January 30th. You can register on-line by going to www.charlottejcc.org or in person at the Eric Sklut Adminstrative Office at Camp Mindy. For more information call 704.944.6728.
- CJP is beginning its first capital improvement project. The creation of a new outdoor park facility will allow our children to explore their imaginations, discover nature, and exercise their growing bodies. The Olam Katan Park will benefit fellow Shalom Park agencies, as well as space for preschoolers at Shalom Park where they can Learn. Grow. Connect. Each yearbook costs $15. Also, remember that you can also place an ad to commemorate your child's achievement, to honor your child's teachers, or both.
- Please remember that we must have your hot lunch form one week prior to the days that you would like to order hot lunch.
- From February 13- February 18, the PTO is looking forward to raffling several themed gift baskets to our parents and grandparents! This CJP tradition is one of the PTO's tried and true fundraisers and adds excitement to our annual Grandparent's Day and Parent's Night Out. Instead of asking classes to team up to produce a basket with a specific theme, our committee is asking parents and friends of the school to solicit donations that fit into any one or more of the themed baskets: Parent's Weekend Away, Wine and Dine, Keep on Cookin', Pamper Mommy, Sports-Sports-Sports!, Dad's Day Off, For the Love of Art. Gift cards and cash are always welcome. Please drop off donations to the office to the attention of Liz Greenhagen by January 31.
